Pakistan Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Rules, 1976 — section 87

87. (a) The first meeting of the Bar Council shall be held within a month of the declaration of the result of election of the Pakistan Bar Council.

(b)Ordinary meeting of a Bar Council may be convened by the Chairman or in case he is for some reason unable to act, by the Vice-Chairman.

(c)The Chairman and in his absence the Vice-Chairman shall convene a meeting of the Bar Council on the receipt of a requisition signed by not less than 122a[ten] members of Bar Council, within a week of the requisition but in emergency it may be called within any shorter period so as to suit the emergency. In case the Chairman or the Vice-Chairman do not call on requisition a meeting, the same may be convened by the requisitionists and all expenses in this behalf shall be borne by the Bar Council and the proceedings conducted at the meeting shall be deemed to be the proceedings of the Pakistan Bar Council.
