Identity, checked first
Every advocate submits a government CNIC alongside their Bar Council enrolment. A platform admin, not an algorithm, reviews both before a profile can go live.
Court tier is derived, not typed
Whether a profile shows as Advocate, Advocate High Court, or Advocate-on-Record Supreme Court is derived from the verified enrolment category. It's never a free-text field a lawyer fills in themselves.
A permanent record
Every verification decision, approval, rejection or reason, is logged with the reviewer's identity and timestamp. Nothing about a profile's status is guesswork.
Firms are verified too
A law firm profile is checked the same way as an individual advocate, and each member the firm adds goes through their own review before appearing under the firm.
Verification doesn't stop at approval.
Removed if standing lapses
If an advocate's bar standing lapses or is suspended, their profile is pulled from public search automatically, not on a delay and not by request.
Complaints reviewed independently
You can file a complaint about a matter from inside its case room. Platform admins, not the advocate you're complaining about, review it and can escalate it to the Bar Council.
Reviews, not claims
Clients who've worked with an advocate can leave a genuine review after the matter. Reviews describe the experience; they never state or imply a case outcome.
No outcome claims, ever
Pakistan's advertising rules for advocates prohibit win-rate and success-rate claims. Wakalat enforces this at the platform level: no profile, public or private, can display one.
