Pakistan Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Rules, 1976 — section 17

17. (1) The 51[Presiding Officer] shall conduct the poll in accordance with the provisions of these Rules and shall exercise all necessary powers for maintaining order at the polling station and shall report to the Returning Officer any fact or incident which in his opinion effect the conduct or fairness of the poll.

(2)It shall be the duty of a Presiding Officer to do all such acts and things as may be necessary for effectively conducting the polls in accordance with the provisions of these Rules.
