Trade Marks Ordinance, 2001 — section 111

111. Procedure before the Registrar..—_(1) In all proceedings under this Ordinance before the Registrar

(a)the Registrar shall have all the powers of a Civil Court for the purposes of receiving evidence, administering oaths, enforcing the attendance of witnesses, compelling the discovery and production of documents, issuing commissions for the examination of witnesses and granting a certificate of contested validity; 1 [(b) evidence, shall be given by affidavit.]

(2)The Registrar shall not exercise any powers vested in him by this Ordinance or the rules made thereunder adversely to any party duly appearing before him, if required in writing within the prescribed time so to do, without giving such party an opportunity of being heard.
