11. Composition of Pakistan Bar Council..—(1) The Pakistan Bar Council shall consist of the Attorney General for Pakistan, ex-officio, and [twenty-three] members, who shall be elected on the basis of a single transferable vote by the members of the Provincial Bar Councils [and Islamabad Bar Council] as hereinafter specified: Baluchistan 1 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa [4] The Punjab 11 Sindh 6 [Islamabad Capital Territory……………......…………..1 ;and] [(1A) The members of Pakistan Bar Council shall be elected by single transferable vote from each province [and Islamabad Capital Territory] by the members of their respective Provincial Bar Council.] [and Islamabad Bar Council]

(2)A member of a Provincial Bar Council [and Islamabad Bar Council] who is elected to be a member of the Pakistan Bar Council shall cease to be a member of the Provincial Bar Council [and Islamabad Bar Council].

(3)No election of a member to the Pakistan Bar Council shall be called in question on the ground merely that due notice thereof has not been given to any person entitled to vote thereat, if the notice of the date has, not less than thirty days before that date, been published in the official Gazette.
