179. Retiring age..—A Judge of the Supreme Court shall hold office until he attains the age of sixty five years, unless he sooner resigns or is removed from office in accordance with the Constitution 4[:]] 4 [Provided that the term of the Chief Justice of 1[Supreme Court] shall be three years or unless he sooner resigns or attains the age of sixty-five years or is removed from his office in accordance with the Constitution, whichever is earlier: 1 Ins., subs. and added by the Constitution (Twenty-seventh Amendment) Act, 2025 (Act No. XXXII of 2025), ss. 22-25. 2 Subs. by the Revival of the Constitution of 1973 Order, 1985 (P.O.
