144. Poll through secret ballot..—Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, when a poll is demanded on any resolution, it may be ordered to be taken by the chairman of the meeting by secret ballot of his own motion, andshall be ordered to be taken by him on a demand made in that behalf by the members present in person, through video-link or by proxy, where allowed, and having not less than one-tenth of the total voting power.
