Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 — Section 383: Execution of sentences of 2[imprisonment for life] or imprisonment in other cases

383. Execution of sentences of 2[imprisonment for life] or imprisonment in other cases. Where the accused is sentenced to 2[imprisonment for life] or imprisonment in cases other than those provided for by section 381, 5[and section 382-A], the Court passing the sentence shall forthwith forward a warrant to the jail in which he is, or is to be, confined, and, unless the accused is already confined in such jail, shall forward him to such jail, with the warrant.
