Child Marriage Restraint Act, 1929 — Section 8: Jurisdiction under this Act
8. Jurisdiction under this Act. Notwithstanding anything contained in section 190 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (V of 1898), no Court other than that of 1[* * *] a 2[Magistrate of the first class] shall take cognizance of, or try, any offence under this Act.
